What to Expect and How to Prepare a Your New Roof

November 13, 2023

If you’re wondering what to expect and how to prepare for your new roof with West Side Roofing, that means at this point we have a signed contract with you. You’re officially in our schedule but a lot of times during the year we do have a backlog whether it’s a couple of weeks or maybe closer to a month so if you aren’t scheduled yet, the sooner, the better.

We understand that getting a new roof is one of the biggest investments you could put towards your house. So, one of the first questions we ask you is, “have you ever done a roof before?” There is a lot that people do not know when it comes to getting a new roof like what you as the homeowner needs to do or what you should expect while we are there.

We try to give you as much info as we can as much about our process to make the homeowners feel as comfortable as possible. That is why we hand out an information sheet to all of our new clients who have never had roof work done before.

A roofing project is a construction site with a lot going on, but it is a controlled environment, and we have many years of experience giving Clevelanders the new roof they really want.

What You Need to Do Before You Get a New Roof

The main thing is that we need to have the driveway clear before we start to allow us to have more room to work and to protect your vehicles.
Move lawn furniture away from the construction site.
Remove valuables from the garage, and the attic as the construction can cause debris to fall from the ceiling.
Secure valuables inside the home as construction can cause vibrations which can knock things around.

What to Expect While Getting You New Roof

Noise, noise, noise. There will be a lot of noise as we work throughout the day.
We will notify your neighbors about the project, so they know what to expect.
Daily Clean-up- We will clean up the site daily

There is more to anticipate, and we can offer more tips on how to prepare for your new roof. If you have any question or concerns, contact us at West Side Roofing before your scheduled roofing date.

The only hiccup was ,after I went to their office and paid in full with a cashier check.Days later I received a e mail asking for payment. I never received a apology for this!

They were prompt , very professional, cleaned up using a magnetic device so they didn’t leave a single nail behind. Even hung my plants back up for me without my asking !!!
