Skylight Installation in Cleveland, Ohio

April 24, 2024

At West Side Roofing, we are known for our work on roof repairs, replacements, and even new roof installations, but did you know that we can help you with your skylights too? We offer skylight repairs, replacement, and installation services.

Skylight Services

In the video, you can see an example of a client who had a leaking skylight, which can be a very dangerous situation. The water can cause the woof underneath the roof to rot and eventually collapse.

So, we came out to the home and opened up the roof, checked the wood to make sure it was still in good shape, which it was. Then we add a layer of ice and water shield to prevent future leaks and protect the integrity of the roof and skylight.

The area of the roof around skylights is susceptible to leaks and ice backups, so it is important to make sure you have the proper back protections in place.

The next step is to install the skylight itself with an extra layer of ice guard flashing around the edges of the window for an additional layer of leak prevention.

The last step is for us to do a shingle match and re-shingle your roof!

High-Quality Materials, Craftmanship, and Warranties

West Side Roofing is a certified GAF Master Elite contractor, so we only use the best quality materials, which means that you get great warranties too. Our Velux Skylights come with a ten-year warranty, but they will last as long as the roof itself.

The only hiccup was ,after I went to their office and paid in full with a cashier check.Days later I received a e mail asking for payment. I never received a apology for this!

They were prompt , very professional, cleaned up using a magnetic device so they didn’t leave a single nail behind. Even hung my plants back up for me without my asking !!!
