In the video, you can see an example of a client who had a leaking skylight, which can be a very dangerous situation. The water can cause the woof underneath the roof to rot and eventually collapse. 

So, we came out to the home and opened up the roof, checked the wood to make sure it was still in good shape, which it was. Then we add a layer of ice and water shield to prevent future leaks and protect the integrity of the roof and skylight. 

The area of the roof around skylights is susceptible to leaks and ice backups, so it is important to make sure you have the proper back protections in place.

The next step is to install the skylight itself with an extra layer of ice guard flashing around the edges of the window for an additional layer of leak prevention. 

The last step is for us to do a shingle match and re-shingle your roof!
