When the maintenance manager of a condo complex contacted us about water intrusion issues, we knew it was a unique challenge. The problem was multifaceted, involving the roofing around the chimney, the siding, and the chimney cap itself. Our approach was comprehensive and meticulous to ensure a long-lasting solution.

Step-by-Step Repair Process

• Fabricating a New Chimney Cap: The existing aluminum chimney cap was allowing water to seep in. We custom-fabricated a new cap to ensure no water could enter through the top of the chimney.
• Siding Removal and Underlayment Installation: We temporarily removed the vinyl siding around the chimney box. This allowed us to install the proper underlayment, providing a solid barrier against water infiltration.
• Roofing and Flashing Repair: We removed the shingles around the chimney and installed the correct underlayment and flashings. This step was crucial to prevent water from penetrating the roof at the junction with the chimney.
