Roof Repair and Skylight Replacement

August 15, 2024

We take pride in our ability to handle complex roofing projects, ensuring our clients receive the highest quality service. Recently, we completed a roof repair and skylight replacement project that perfectly showcases our expertise and dedication to customer satisfaction.

Comprehensive Roof Repair and Skylight Replacement

When a homeowner contacted us about issues with their skylights and roof, we knew it was a significant undertaking. The skylights were over 20 years old and had begun to fail, causing leaks and other problems. Here’s how we approached the project.

Initial Assessment and Planning

Inspection: We thoroughly inspected the skylights and the surrounding roofing area. The skylights were solar-vented, capable of opening and closing, and the roofing had specialty shingles.
Preparation: Understanding the complexity of the task, we planned for a detailed repair process.

Detailed Repair Process

Removal: We began by removing the old skylights and the surrounding roofing material, exposing the wood decking beneath.
Repairing Damage: We discovered rotted wood around the skylights, which we replaced to ensure a solid foundation.
Ice and Water Shield: To protect against future leaks, we installed an ice and water shield over the repaired area, providing additional protection from harsh weather conditions.

Skylight Installation

We installed new solar skylights, which are remote-controlled for ease of use. These skylights not only improved the functionality but also added a modern touch to the home. Matching the specialty shingles perfectly, we completed the roofing repair, ensuring a seamless and aesthetically pleasing finish.

The only hiccup was ,after I went to their office and paid in full with a cashier check.Days later I received a e mail asking for payment. I never received a apology for this!

They were prompt , very professional, cleaned up using a magnetic device so they didn’t leave a single nail behind. Even hung my plants back up for me without my asking !!!
