Proper Skylight Flashing: What You Need to Know
The importance of properly flashing skylights is often overlooked, and poor installation can lead to serious long term issues. Flashing takes time, precision, and attention to detail. This self-adhering membrane is applied directly to the roof deck around the skylight before any flashing or window is installed. These, along with L-shaped step tins, work together to create a clean, uniform barrier around the skylight.
